Happing eating after a long journey to this beautiful paradise, despite the heavy rains.

This is how it looks after heavy rains. It is still very beautiful. It was such a wonderful trip of Kisaw Group to the hidden paradise, Tinago falls at Buru-un Iligan City, Mindanao, Philippines. TINAGO in English means HIDDEN. To go there you have to trek down the mountain through man-made stairs which is almost 400 steps.

This photo was taken last 2005. We came there to celebrate the birthday of a friend Adelou. It was such a memorable moment and a lot of fun. Starting from right is Janice Gabo, Adelou, Norie Mae Calunsag and me, Rex S. Sacayan.

Location

It’s 130 kilometers southwest of Cebu City and about three hours bus ride. Kawasan Falls is located inside the mountains of Barangay Matutinao, Badian. From the entrance you will have to trek uphill for about thirty minutes, to get to the first waterfall.
